My approach is to let moments happen and unfold as they would do so if I wasn't there to see it. If I feel I can improve a moment and it's appropriate then I'll always suggest a prompt to get there without any pressure.
Why they work this way
I want the day to be yours rather than an excuse for me to build my own portfolio and making it one long photoshoot. Natural is always the way.
