There is a particular kind of tired that arrives in October.

The season is over. The photographs are still to edit, the invoices are still to chase, and the rest you kept promising yourself somehow never got booked in.

Jess at Wild Soul Wedding Co, who co-runs the Dorset Wedding Sessions with us, has put a day together for exactly that. It is not a networking day. Nobody is going to ask you about your funnel.

The day

Sunday 4 October 2026, 10am to 4pm. Woodsmoke, Wareham. £215, twelve places.

  • 10am: coffee and pastries at Woodsmoke
  • 11am: an art session with Georgie Bell
  • 12.30pm: lunch by Ako Dining
  • 2pm: sound healing with Lizzie Whitehead
  • 3pm: sauna and a cacao gathering
  • 4pm: home

No strategy session. No goal setting for next season. You are allowed to simply be somewhere nice for six hours.

Details and booking are on Jess’s site.

Why we are sharing it

Twelve places makes it a small room, and small rooms are where the good conversations happen. It is the same reason we cap our Showcases.

Working for yourself in weddings can be quiet in a way people do not talk about much. You are surrounded by other people’s biggest days and you still eat your lunch in the van. When suppliers tell us what they got from our fairs, they mention the other suppliers as often as the couples.

If your first thought was that you cannot spare a Sunday in October, that might be worth sitting with.

One more date for the diary

The Mowlem Theatre in Swanage is holding its first wedding open day on Sunday 29 November.

Our own next dates

The My Wedding Vibe Showcase at RNLI College in Poole is on Sunday 31 January 2027, and there are two more Showcases in February and April.

The Lineup is free to join, and suppliers on it hear about new dates as soon as they are set. No pressure, whenever you are ready.
